The Dingle Project
In 2018, a highly innovative 3-year project was set up to see the deployment and implementation of a range of new technologies to assist in the development of a smart, resilient, low-carbon electricity network.
The renewable technologies installed included:
- Solar PV Systems
- Battery Management Systems
- Air Source Heat Pumps
- Electric Vehicles and Smart Electric Vehicle Chargers
- Energy Monitoring Systems
The project also saw the rollout out of Smart Devices on the electrical network to allow increased reliability of the network.
ESB Networks collaborated with local communities to explore both the impact and capabilities of new low carbon technologies on the distribution network.
