I wish to obtain from ESB Networks the date & time of all  planned and unplanned power outage in our area from Jan 01, 2019 to Jun 28th, 2025. This should be a list of outage date & time, cause of outage, number of households affected during this outage, date & time power was restored, steps ESB Networks took to fix root cause of outage. The area in question is where I live, ***, Pallaskenry, Co Limerick ***. We would expect all dates of from Jan 01, 2019 to June 28, 2025 and the data provided as an Excel spreadsheet.

Pursuant to the FOI Act 2014, I am requesting the following records held by ESB Networks DAC:
• Information explaining why a notification informing residents of a power outage on 1st July 2025 and dated 5th March 2025, was delivered to residents on 25th June 2025 (see attached for reference)
• Information on why this power outage cannot be limited to a more reasonable timeframe than 9am to 5pm during a working day, and records of demonstrable evidence that this has been considered
• Statistical records on how power outages (planned and unplanned) in Ardilaun and Carrick Court, Portmarnock, Co. Dublin compare to overall power outages (planned and unplanned) in the rest of Portmarnock and the Fingal area
• Records relating to the role of Malahide Golf Club in these planned and unplanned power outages, and specifically records relating to their management of trees that continue to pose a threat to ESB Network overhead lines.
Further, any correspondence which specifically addresses ESB Networks and/or Fingal County Council correspondence about same [noting I am a former FOI officer with detailed knowledge of third party consultation requirements under the Act and those provisions that allow an FOI body to claim exemptions to releasing this information]

We moved into our home in Feb 2023. Our understanding is the house was not lived in by the previous owner for 2 years and we would like to apply for the vacant properties grant. I've checked usage using the NPRN number, however, I can only see as far back as Jun 2023. Is it possible for you to share usage from 2020 onwards?

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2014, I am requesting:
1.Copies of the scientific or technical studies, reports, or publications that were relied upon when producing or validating the 2017 EMF leaflet;
2.Any more recent internal or public updates, reviews, or revised versions of this EMF information since 2017;
3.Any risk assessments, field measurements, or modelling data held by ESB Networks regarding EMF exposure from 38kV infrastructure, particularly in proximity to residential dwellings;
4.Any internal documentation or policy outlining acceptable separation distances or health-based risk mitigation used in site planning or equipment placement.If no such records exist, I would appreciate written confirmation of that.

We initially requested the disconnection of this account in October 2024 and have followed up multiple times since. The disconnection has now finally been completed as of Monday, 26th May 2025.I have just spoken with a member of your customer service team, who advised that I could request a record of the dates and reasons the disconnection was not completed.Could you please provide all relevant notes and updates recorded on your system regarding this account?

All records relating to potential utility connections at the site referenced in planning application 2460497 for a large-scale development at the Shackleton Road in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

I would like the search to cover records from Jan 1st 2025 to date and would like to receive records in soft copy.

the number of applications made for new connections of electricity since January 2025.

Would it be possible to find out the connection date for my property ***

1 ESB policy documents in relation to new forestry planations adjacent to existing overhead power cables specifically but not limited to required separation distances from new forestry plantations to existing overhead power lines.
2 All documents related to any propsoed changes to separation distaces from new forestry plantations to existing overhead power lines.
3 all Correspondances between ESB and the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine in relation to separartion distances from new forestry plantations to existing overhead power lines.

I was hoping to access data regarding power outages during storm Eowyn to allow for the assessment of vulnerability of infrastructure during windstorm events. I did view your live outages page, but there is no way to view historic data. 

I would like to make a request for Information in respect of the following works which are ongoing at Greenlea Grove Substation, the request is being made under the Freedom of Information Act
•All correspondence relating to the request to have the Cables moved, who requested, why this request was made, who agreed
•All correspondence relating to the works which would be required to complete the work
•All correspondence relating to tenders to contractors and and overall estimate of the cost of the Works
•All correspondence relating to the completion of the works - request for changes which may have been made, where were these changes initiated, agreements
•All correspondence relating to legal title and ownership
•Overall costs of the all the associated works summarised into a total cost
•All correspondence relating to the 5M distance between a Residential property and a substation pertaining to the structure at this location

Id like to ask you what kind of insurance do your drivers have the drivers that take their company trucks home with them after work is over. Are they insured for travelling to and from work or are trucks insured for social domestic and pleasure purposes?

I am seeking access to any and all records held by ESB Networks relating to the ESB pylon and any equipment or apparatus attached to it, located on or adjacent to Folio *** in the Beechwood estate, Clarecastle, Co. Clare.Specifically, I am requesting:
1.Wayleave agreements, servitudes, or any legal documentation permitting the presence of the pylon and attached equipment.
2.Planning, design, or infrastructure agreements between ESB Networks and the developer or any third party regarding the installation or maintenance of the pylon and associated equipment.
3.Correspondence between ESB Networks and the housing developer and/or Clare County Council concerning the pylon’s installation, ownership, necessity, and ongoing management.
4.Risk assessments, engineering reports, or safety evaluations relating to the presence of the pylon and its attached equipment in close proximity to residential dwellings.
5.Any decommissioning, relocation, or upgrade plans for the pylon and attached equipment currently under consideration or previously discussed.
6.Scientific, technical, or public health documents or studies commissioned, held, or referred to by ESB Networks regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF), radiofrequency radiation, or any other emissions from this infrastructure and attached equipment, especially in relation to close proximity residential exposure.

In relation to the level of power ESB charge sites are using and are impacting the local grid in Galway city, please provide the amount of power in KWH units of each of the following ESB car charging sites in Galway city in 2024:

Furthermore, please provide the total annual charge value of
1. the capacity charges
2. the standing charges levied on ESB ecars for each of the six sites above and provide the euro value of each charge for each site.

A rcord/spreadsheet/database of all costs incurred by ESB Networks in the provision of transport, accommodation, food, subsistence or other costs to overseas electrical staff who worked in the aftermath of Storm Éowyn. This record to be provided line-by-line or in as much detail as possible as provided for under Section 17(4) of the FOI Act.

1. Internal communications (including emails, meeting minutes, memos or draft documents) concerning the use of female-only facilities (e.g. showers, changing rooms) by individuals who identify as transgender.
2. Any complaints, concerns, or submissions raised by female staff regarding discomfort or objections to the use of these facilities by individuals who are biologically male.
3. Records of decisions, directives or guidance issued by ESB senior management or the Board relating to this issue, including any communication explaining the reasoning behind such decisions.
4. Correspondence with third parties (including government departments, advocacy groups, or equality bodies) in relation to ESB’s gender identity policy and its application in sex-specific spaces.
