ESB Networks customer information update

Storms Kristin and Leonardo have brought extensive and severe damage across Portugal and left over 1 million customers without electricity.

ESB Networks has successfully completed a critical infrastructure project in Portlaoise which involved the uprating of two 31.5 MVA transformers to 63 MVA, doubling capacity and enabling new customer homes, businesses, and farms to connect to the electricity network, as well as significantly reinforcing the reliability of the network in the Midlands region.

Customers with a smart meter and an ESB Networks Online Account get insights into how they are using energy in the home and can even upload their energy usage data to price comparison websites, to get accurate advice on which is the best tariff for them.

ESB Networks hosted the Apprentice of the Year 2025 competition at the Networks Training Centre on Thursday, 26th June.  This annual event continues to highlight ESB Networks’ commitment to technical training and the ongoing development of Apprentices.
