I request a copy of correspondences/emails/reports/meeting records involving  The Cork City Council and/or Cork City Council employees and/or Cork City Council elected representative, CField Construction and/or its employees, BMor Developments, Allumcrest Limited and any additional persons/parties regarding the provision of electrical supply at the Lios Cara Estate, Killeens, Cork.  Records dating between 2018 and today (14th August 2023) Commercially sensitive information for the above can be redacted where appropriate.

I am seeking information under AIE and FOI about any and all communications, including meetings, emails and phone conversations, between the ESB Networks DSO  and Ballycar Green Energy https://ballycargreenenergy.ie/ regarding the proposed development of a 12 turbine windfarm in Meelick Co. Clare. Discussions on proposed route for transmission cables, either over ground or underground, tree-felling, timescale, how far advanced the planning of the distribution network for this project is, all relevant information is requested please, as soon as possible.  Has an ECP application commenced?

Further to the Freedom of Information Act (2014), we request copies of all records created since 1 January 2018 relating to an ESB mini-pillar (and any related electrical infrastructure) located in the grounds of Ballinlough House, Churchyard Lane, Ballinlough, Cork T12 T280 (folio CK 165055F).

What is the annual maintenance routine for ESB poles in Inchicore on these roads? 

This information is requested by a group of local residents of Inchicore, Dublin 8 who live in and around these streets. 

When was the last date of a maintenance inspection by ESB of these poles?

I wish to access records regarding the erecting of reflectors on the ESB power line that passes through the townlands of Sharragh and Lissernane, co. Tipperary.  I am specifically looking to access the record of the year the reflectors were erected and confirm that they were erected in response to the number of bird strikes on that power line.

I am trying to get planning permission and need to build a case that I lived in the area previously. My parents Edward & Teresa Coree would have had an ESB account from 1972 - 1989 at Pebble Beach, Lower Curragh, Ardmore, Co. Waterford and looking for proof of this. Can you supply that information please?

All records in relation to the government decision on July 14 2009 to take a dividend from ESB and task CRU with distributing it to Large Energy Users via the ESB Network. I would like to limit the search to the period between 1 June 2009 and 31 December 2010 (when any remaining funds were apparently transferred from an ESB account to the CRU’s Carbon Revenue Levy Account).

This was a matter for the ESB in so far as records concern its functions under its Distribution System Operator (“DSO”) licence. A copy of the CER’s decision is attached. A section relates to the “implementation of a rebate scheme, funded by ESB, that operated through the electricity network tariffs from 1st January 2009.”

This request should include but not be limited to:

• Any related correspondence between the then ESB and DECC (then DECNR)
• Any related correspondence between the then ESB and CRU (then CER)
• Any related correspondence between the then ESB and the Department for Finance/DPER (which wasn’t existing then but the relevant functions might have moved later)
• Any related internal reports, reports to CER/CRU or ministers, records of meetings, minutes, and financial accounts related to the use of the €176m in question.

I am currently completing my degree in Environmental Management with Atlantic Technological University. I have an assignment on the Life Cycle Assessment of a product or service and have chosen the life cycle of a solar panel.

Can you tell me or point me in the direction of finding out how much energy was generated from domestic solar installations in 2022??

I would like to make a quick enquiry under the Freedom of Information Act.

In answering please provide precise references for each point. Thank you in advance.

1. Please advise whether or not the standard non smart electricity meters which are currently installed at residential properties have been paid for indirectly by the owner/occupier of the property via customer charges for use of the electricity network.
2. Please advise where in the DSO licence agreement or other regulatory or legal document it is stated that the current non smart meters and new smart meters are the property of ESB Networks.
3. Can you confirm whether any condition under the DSO licence or any other relevant regulation precludes a customer, residential or commercial, from having a non smart meter installed in their property for the purpose of electricity consumption monitoring at such time as a new meter is required.
4. Please advise whether such installation, if not precluded by law, must be done by ESB networks at no direct charge to the customer.
5. Please advise whether or not the new smart electricity meters which are currently being installed at residential properties will be paid for indirectly by the owner/occupier of the property via customer charges for use of the electricity network over the coming years.

Would it be possible to provide the information that will show the generation capacity of the sub stations throughout the country.

As a renewable energy developer, our company is very keen to invest in Ireland, particular with both solar and BESS projects.

This in particular pertains to planning permissions 19/5325 and 19/5416.

I specifically request all correspondences/reports/documentation/meeting minutes around road works and associated electrical works at the entrance of the Lios Cara Estate. The road was dug up for reported ESB work between the 18th April 2023 and the 2nd May 2023.

In particular I request all engineering and feasibility reports pertaining to the Lios Cara Estate, Killeens, Cork. This pertains to planning permissions 19/5325 and 19/5416.
