I note an article on Irish Independents website by Paul Deering from the Sligo Champion dated 22nd August which confirms ESB networks plans for "timber and vegetation surveying and clearing works are scheduled to take place in identified areas over the coming months".

I kindly request the scoping document that was issued to ESB contractors for this project, in particular any documentation that identifies the clearance distance is being implemented between existing ESB lines and forestry plantations.

I'm looking for a contact to assist me with getting a suite of drawings for fencing to substations. I have a current drawing PE689-D559-003-005-000 for a 5m double gate for a 38KV substation gate. Are there standard drawing for other sizes, other substations types, single gates and personnel gates? Please respond

1. The number of 220kV substations planned or projected to be built in the Southwest region over the next 40 years.

2. The number of 110kV substations planned or projected for the Southwest region over the next40 years.

3. The number of 38/40kV substations planned or projected for the Southwest region over the next 40 years.

4. The rationale for proposing a 220kV substation at Ballysallagh given its proximity to Knockraha substation, including any capacity assessments, cost-benefit analysis, oroperational need studies.

5. How Ballysallagh 220kV substation would integrate with the national grid, including assessments of forecast demand, industrial development, or strategic network planning.

6. Planned or projected overhead lines or underground services from Ballysallagh 220kV station over the next 40 years.

1. What is the E.S.B.'s or by extension the Irish Government's current policy regarding the Poolbeg chimneys?

2. Though not particularly old, they have become an iconic landmark in Dublin. Are the chimneys regularly attended to, as in cared for, looked after, painted etc. beyond mere health and safety considerations by whom and how often?

3. If the Poolbeg chimneys are not being regularly attended to, is it the E.S.B 's / Government's policy to let them fall into disrepair until they will have to be taken down, or crumble down?

4. Are there any plans to keep and preserve Poolbeg now or in the pipeline. If so what are the plans?

5. How much is the Poolbeg site costing the tax payer annually to sit there unused commercially or even culturally?

6. Is Poolbeg, i e. the land where the chimneys are located which  belongs to the state, currently up for tender to potential buyers? If so at what current price and what official offers to purchase have been received, who are they and what are their plans for the site?

7. Can you quantify how many people have contacted the E.S.B. / Government by letter, e-mail, fax, text, in person etc requesting or petitioning for the chimneys to remain and be refurbished and to stay on the Dublin skyline?

8. Finally do the E.S.B. or Government have any intention now or at some later time, to ask the citizens of Dublin whether they would or would not like the Poolbeg chimneys to stay as a landmark of Dublin?

I request a copy of the following non-personal records, relating to connection applied under planning ref no: D17A/0240, D20A/0432, or D21A/0161 Thornhill Oaks, Cherrygarth, Mount Merrion, BlackRock, co. Dublin:

I would be much obliged, if under the Freedom of Information Acts, and any/all other relevant legislation, you could email 1me the relevant documentation towards understanding what is intended regarding parking at e-car esb charging stations, including any guidelines, who has authority, who has the obligation to ensure that they are to be marked (e.g. some seem to be marked for e-cars, some are unmarked and freely available to the public to park legally in them prohibiting access by electric cars).  Any and all material and documentation relevant to this is what I would like you to send me.

a. Copies of the submissions made by ESB Networks to the Department of Housing on/or dated 25 March 2025 that relate to proposed planning exemptions for backyard cabins, house extensions, and so on.

I am writing to request any and all records relating to the 399V power surge to my home which occurred on March 12th 2024. I want to know what caused the surge, why your internal controls failed to prevent it, what level of investigation has been done, who conducted that and what corrective action has been taken to ensure that such a surge can not happen again. I also want to know how many residences were impacted by the surge, what level of damage was caused to persons, premises or appliances, how much collective compensation was proffered and if any liability for future damage to appliances likely to be related to the surge has been accepted.

I'm just looking for information. Ever winter we have prolonged blackouts due to severe storms and I would like to know what procedure is for connecting a standby diesel generator that would be just enough to power main components in the house such as heating, fridge, lighting and cooker. Is there any ESB requirements, any application for connection or is it just electrician that would be needed. Keep in mind this is only a standby generator which cant be used parallel with mains. I wish to obtain from ESB Networks the date & time of all  planned and unplanned power outage in our area from Jan 01, 2019 to Jun 28th, 2025. This should be a list of outage date & time, cause of outage, number of households affected during this outage, date & time power was restored, steps ESB Networks took to fix root cause of outage. The area in question is where I live, ***, Pallaskenry, Co Limerick ***. We would expect all dates of from Jan 01, 2019 to June 28, 2025 and the data provided as an Excel spreadsheet.

Pursuant to the FOI Act 2014, I am requesting the following records held by ESB Networks DAC:
• Information explaining why a notification informing residents of a power outage on 1st July 2025 and dated 5th March 2025, was delivered to residents on 25th June 2025 (see attached for reference)
• Information on why this power outage cannot be limited to a more reasonable timeframe than 9am to 5pm during a working day, and records of demonstrable evidence that this has been considered
• Statistical records on how power outages (planned and unplanned) in Ardilaun and Carrick Court, Portmarnock, Co. Dublin compare to overall power outages (planned and unplanned) in the rest of Portmarnock and the Fingal area
• Records relating to the role of Malahide Golf Club in these planned and unplanned power outages, and specifically records relating to their management of trees that continue to pose a threat to ESB Network overhead lines.
Further, any correspondence which specifically addresses ESB Networks and/or Fingal County Council correspondence about same [noting I am a former FOI officer with detailed knowledge of third party consultation requirements under the Act and those provisions that allow an FOI body to claim exemptions to releasing this information]

We moved into our home in Feb 2023. Our understanding is the house was not lived in by the previous owner for 2 years and we would like to apply for the vacant properties grant. I've checked usage using the NPRN number, however, I can only see as far back as Jun 2023. Is it possible for you to share usage from 2020 onwards?

In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2014, I am requesting:
1.Copies of the scientific or technical studies, reports, or publications that were relied upon when producing or validating the 2017 EMF leaflet;
2.Any more recent internal or public updates, reviews, or revised versions of this EMF information since 2017;
3.Any risk assessments, field measurements, or modelling data held by ESB Networks regarding EMF exposure from 38kV infrastructure, particularly in proximity to residential dwellings;
4.Any internal documentation or policy outlining acceptable separation distances or health-based risk mitigation used in site planning or equipment placement.If no such records exist, I would appreciate written confirmation of that.

We initially requested the disconnection of this account in October 2024 and have followed up multiple times since. The disconnection has now finally been completed as of Monday, 26th May 2025.I have just spoken with a member of your customer service team, who advised that I could request a record of the dates and reasons the disconnection was not completed.Could you please provide all relevant notes and updates recorded on your system regarding this account?

All records relating to potential utility connections at the site referenced in planning application 2460497 for a large-scale development at the Shackleton Road in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

I would like the search to cover records from Jan 1st 2025 to date and would like to receive records in soft copy.
