Empowering people to make more mindful energy choices is at the heart of ESB Networks’ flagship initiative, “Is This a Good Time?”. Nearly 40,000 customers are already taking part, earning rewards, and helping Ireland move closer to its climate goals.

As of 12pm approximately 49,000 homes, farms and businesses remain without power, predominantly in counties Donegal, Leitrim, Roscommon, Galway and Mayo.

As of 5:15pm approximately 184,000 homes, farms and businesses are without power, predominantly in counties Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Cavan and Donegal.

High winds expected to cause damage to electricity infrastructure, particularly in counties that will be under Met Éireann’s Status Orange wind warning. Stay Safe, Stay Clear of fallen electricity wires. Report any damage to the network by calling 1800 372 999.

Met Éireann has issued status orange weather wind warnings for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo from 2pm until 10pm on Friday, October 3rd as Storm Amy approaches. A status red wind warning has been issued for Donegal from 4pm until 6pm.

More than four out of five households across the country now have a smart meter installed.
