Nicholas Tarrant

Managing Director

Oversees the day-to-day operations and the long term strategy of ESB Networks.
Brian Brady

Head of Network Resilience and Climate Adaptation

This role leads on enhancing the resilience of Ireland’s electricity network in the face of climate change and extreme weather events.
Eddie Byrne

Head of Finance

The Head of Finance in ESB Networks oversees financial strategy, planning, reporting, and risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic decision-making to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
Sarah Claxton

Head of People & Organisation Capability

The Head of People and Organisation Capability in ESB Networks leads the people and culture enabling teams to ensure the workforce capacity, capability and technical expertise to work safely, effectively and efficiently in a values-based culture. This role manages the key functions of HR, Safety and Technical Training.  
Pat Eccles

Head of Distribution Markets & System Operation

This role leads the development and implementation of the DMSO organisational structure, which integrates several previously separate functions to create a unified approach to managing Ireland’s electricity distribution system as we transition to a high-renewable, low-carbon energy system with customers at the centre, while delivering operational excellence and ensuring security of supply.
Brendan Kennedy

Head of Customer & Projects Delivery North

This role is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and development of the electricity distribution network across the northern half of Ireland.

This role also involves managing the transmission infrastructure on behalf of ESB across the northern half of Ireland.
PC Lynch

Head of Networks Delivery Services

This role leads the delivery of critical services that support Ireland’s electricity network infrastructure. Procurement, Supply Chain, Fleet & Equipment, Property, Business Support, Digital and Process Support are the key functions of Network Delivery Services.
John O’Connor

Head of Networks Programme Delivery

This role leads the strategic programme management of large-scale infrastructure and transformation programmes that support Ireland’s evolving electricity network.
Alan Rossiter

Head of Strategy & Network Development

This role leads ESB Networks’ strategy and network development, driving innovation and long-term planning to enable a smart, sustainable electricity system aligned with Ireland’s climate and energy goals.
Jacinta Ryan

Head of Customer, Transformation & Digital

This role is responsible for achieving Customer excellence in ESB Networks, by ensuring timely, transparent, and high-quality service for all, particularly during new connections and outages. This role is also responsible for driving the strategic integration of digital, data, IT, and telecommunications capabilities across ESB Networks. Associated with this is a mandate to support the transformation of key business capabilities, to enhance organisational effectiveness, achieve enduring value for customers and enabling Ireland's energy transition.

Head of Customer & Projects Delivery South

This role is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and development of the electricity distribution network across the southern half of Ireland.
