Renewable energy forecast
Your weekly renewable energy forecast
When it's windy or sunny, renewable energy is generated, reducing the need for electricity from fossil fuels. By checking the forecast, it can help you time your appliance usage. We understand it may not always be possible to change the time, we hope this forecast helps you make informed choices. While it might seem convenient to use electricity during peak times (typically 5-7pm), we encourage you to be mindful of these hours, as demand on the electricity network is highest.

How does this work
This information is based on weather forecast information and should be used as a guide. We use weather data to identify windy and sunny periods across the country. In counties without wind generation, only the solar forecast is considered. The daily forecast is divided into morning (7am – noon), afternoon (12pm – 4pm), evening (4pm – 8pm) and night (8pm – 7am).
Why this matters
By aligning your electricity use with these forecasts, you're actively supporting a cleaner, greener electricity network. Keep up to date on our energy forecast indicators and start making a difference today!
