Overview
ESB Networks, through our Net Zero Strategy, is working to enable the demand side flexibility needed to meet Ireland’s national flexibility targets. This consultation sets out two proposed medium term flexibility products designed to help manage local network congestion in selected areas. The purpose of this consultation was to present the proposed products and gather stakeholder feedback before finalising the product design and feedback submissions were accepted until 22 May 2026. ESB Networks has now submitted, in October 2026, its recommendations on the product design to the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) for regulatory approval and is currently awaiting a decision.
