Reporting a Power Outage

If you are aware of any emergency situation please call us immediately on 1850 372 999 or +353 21 2382410 24 hours/ 7 days service.

If you've lost your electricity supply, first check if it's just your home that's without power or if there is a fault in the general area. You can check ESB Networks PowerCheck to get realtime information on faults and planned outages.

ESB Networks PowerCheck

If your neighbours are also without power go to Powercheck for real-time information on power outages. If your area is not listed, call 1850 372 999 or +353 21 2382410. Please quote your MPRN if possible.
If your neighbours have power or if you are unable to check with your neighbours you will need to check your trip switch is on the 'on' position or if your fuses have blown.

The problem may be a fault in your own wiring, which ESB Networks will not be able to repair.

If your trip switch has tripped or a fuse has blown, turn off all your appliances before resetting the switch or replacing the fuse. Please watch the video above on what to do if you have a power cut.

Having carried out these checks if you are still without power you may need to contact us on 1850 372 999 or +353 21 2382410. Please quote your MPRN if possible.

It is important to make sure that the fault does not lie on your side of the meter. If we respond to a call and the fault is in your own electrical installation, you maybe liable for a charge of up to €136 an we will not be allowed to repair your fault.
