Planned Outages Safety Notification

Planned Outages

At ESB Networks, we maintain and build Ireland’s power network.  A key part of our role is to reinforce the network, increase capacity for an area or safely repair damage that has been caused by weather. To carry out this work safely we need to turn off the power in the area affected.  You have received a text message because you are due to have a power outage.

Safety Warning:

You should regard the connection to your house as being LIVE during all outages as electricity supply may be restored at any time, sometimes for brief periods, while work is being carried out.  During any interruption it is advisable to switch off all electronic equipment and any other equipment which could result in a safety hazard when the power is restored.  If you have an ELECTRICAL GENERATOR please ensure that it complies with and is connected in accordance with the NSAI - National Standards Authority of Ireland wiring rules so that it cannot feed into the ESB Network System.  This is in the interests of your own safety and that of other customers.

If you require any further information, please contact our Customer Care Team at 1800 372 757 or 021 2386555 .  Please have your 11 digit ESB Networks MPRN to hand when you call.  This is shown on your electricity bill starting with M10...
