Fibre Project Update

The Fibre Enabling Programme (commonly known as SIRO) involves ensuring the most up to date network is in place so that Fibre can be strung by SIRO alongside the electricity lines and brought to customer homes. To do this safely the power may be turned off in the local areas for a short period of time. SIRO is deployed on ESB Network’s existing overhead and underground infrastructure, ensuring an efficient roll-out across Ireland.

What is the benefit of the Fibre Enabling Programme?

The Fibre Enabling programme is a project to enable improved broadband, which improves business capabilities, improved network while working from home and of course allowing customers to enjoy seamless entertainment at home. The rollout of SIRO is 100% fibre broadband which speeds of 1 Gigabit per second benefiting communities all over Ireland.
