With the Government’s announcements on 27th March and further restrictions on movement, ESB Networks will only carry out necessary work to maintain the essential service of safe, secure and reliable electricity.
We are committed to:
- Doing all that is necessary to continue to provide a safe and reliable electricity supply and
- Minding the health and wellbeing of all our people while delivering an essential national service;
- Supporting the government's plans to ensure the virus doesn't spread;
- Supporting our colleagues in the health services and in the provision of other essential infrastructure
The essential works include:
Safety critical work that impacts on the integrity of the electricity network, the safety of the general public or presents a significant environmental risk
Planned work that is necessary for the short to medium term security of supply and ensuring network resilience
Critical connections work including those in response to the COVID outbreak e.g. for care homes, telecoms providers, temporary hospitals, food shops, distribution centres, water utilities, and customers in vulnerable situations.
We apologise for any inconvenience to you, our customers, but it is necessary for all other services to be put on hold until we can return to business as usual.
Our Customer Care team is now working remotely to continue to deliver customer service to all ESB Networks customers, across all our channels.
