Move Meter Location

If you are getting building work done, you may need to get the meter moved to a new location. We can facilitate this and there is a cost involved. Payment for the work needs to be made in advance.

We need to be informed if you require your overhead or underground service altered when you are moving your meter.

How to apply

Phone 1800 372 757 or +353 21 2386555 and ask to get your meter relocated. Please have your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) ready.

We then send you a quote of how much the move costs.  

Once you have your quote, payment can be made by whichever method suits you best. When making payment please have your quotation to hand for reference number proposes.

Your electrician will do the necessary internal wiring alterations up to the new meter position. He/she will then send the E.T.C.I. certificate to the regulatory body. This will subsequently be sent to us. Once we receive the validated wiring certificate, work can begin.

For standard service alterations, once payment and the E.T.C.I certificate are received, the job is complete within 3 to 4 weeks. A non-standard service alteration may take longer. Timeframes for non-standard work can be discussed with our design team.
